Rigid Thermoplastic Core

A 2-3mm layer of medical-grade thermoplastic provides genuine structural correction — not the flimsy semi-flexible support found in most insoles. Stays rigid below 200F. Becomes flexible if heated for several minutes above 212F for re-molding.

Each insole is already molded to a medium level of correction and can be worn as is out of the package. If the default arch correction is uncomfortable, the insole can easily be re-molded or modified.

Heat-Moldable. Infinitely Re-Moldable.

Place in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. The insole becomes flexible. Re-shape it to match any arch profile — yours or your client's. As it cools, it hardens into permanent rigid support. Need a different correction later? Heat and re-mold. Infinite adjustments. No degradation.

First Metatarsal Support — The Missing Piece

This is what separates CTB Ortho Insoles from other insoles, even orthotics. The thermoplastic extends underneath the first metatarsal head, providing proprioceptive feedback during gait as the foot rolls forward on to the metatarsal heads. At this point, the arch is no longer involved in weight bearing. Without first metatarsal support, hyperpronators develop tight hips, low back pain, and sciatic referral as the body overcompensates. We correct the chain at its origin.

Pre-Molded with Medium Correction

Works for most people straight out of the box. Re-mold only if you need more or less correction. Synthetic suede top layer cushions the foot for all-day comfort.
